You are Enough | 2017 Original Painting
Story. After I left my job without a backup plan, I was mentally struggling. Having a job was the only way I knew how to earn a living. YouTube was not really a thing yet, and I had no idea how to grow my channel, and I didn't know much about business. But I knew I needed to deal with my fears. And the only way I knew how to tackle them was through journaling.
But just writing wasn't giving me joy, so I illustrated and wrote. Experimenting and sharing as I went.
This piece, as simple and imperfect as it is, was a necessary step to leading me here today. As I made this piece, I willed myself to let go of perfection and enjoy the process. Try techniques I haven't tried before and just create.
I hope this piece reminds you to do the same. You don't need to prove anything to the world, especially that you are enough. Because you already are; imperfectly perfect and enough.
