Elephant, Owl, Hedgehog | 2018 Original Ink Drawings
Story. One of the most complex parts of drawing is feeling overwhelmed and believing that what you see is too complicated to draw. My high school art teacher, who became a mentor to me, now passed, taught in a way that helped me to see simplicity within the complicated. She broke down the face into three parts, marked the center, and taught me how to see life with possibility versus impossibility.
I give her credit for how I see and my desire to help others believe in simplicity. These illustrations are a part of a three-part drawing tutorial on YouTube. I wanted to take our favorite animals and make them accessible to add to our journals or anything you could think of.
I hope these illustrations remind you to see the simplicity within the complicated. To make possible the seemingly impossible.
